 FAQs

 SATURDAY, AUGUST 16

 11 AM - 9 PM

What is Taco Takedown?
Taco Takedown is Beloit, Wisconsin’s ultimate taco tasting experience, where local vendors go head-to-head to earn the coveted Taco Takedown champion belt. Guests get to taste tacos, vote for their favorites, and enjoy a full day of live bands, DJs, and the legendary jalapeño eating contest—where brave competitors put their spice tolerance to the test. Admission is free, with food and drinks available for purchase.

Where is Taco Takedown located?
This year’s event takes place in a brand-new location—on the spine of the Ironworks Campus, just outside Henry Dorrbaker’s Pub & Play (605 Third Street, Beloit, WI).

What happens in case of bad weather?
Taco Takedown is a rain or shine event. In the event of inclement weather, we'll move the fun just down the block to the covered waterfront pavilion at the corner of Ironworks Drive and Third Street, under the Rakuten building.

Will I be able to try every food truck?
This year, each vendor will serve one taco and one side—their best of the best—for judging. Come hungry!

Are there ID or age requirements?
Taco Takedown is open to all ages. Guests 21+ must present valid ID to receive an alcohol wristband upon entry.

Can I bring my service animal?
Service animals and service animals-in-training are welcome. For everyone’s safety, we encourage the use of a vest, harness, cape, or leash that clearly identifies your animal’s role.

How do I buy VIP tickets?

What’s the refund policy for VIP tickets?
All VIP ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued.
