VENDOR APPLICATION 

Beloit Taco Takedown takes place on Saturday, August 8th, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The event will be held on the Ironworks Campus Spine at 605 Third Street in downtown Beloit, WI.

This is a free, all-ages community event featuring: 

• Taco vendors from the Stateline area 

• Live music 

• Jalapeño eating contest 

• A cash and credit bar (provided by Henry Dorrbaker's) 

• People’s Choice and Local Celebrity Panel 

VENDOR SCHEDULE 

• Setup: 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM (must be fully set up by 10:30 AM) 

• Event Time: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM 

• Tear Down: 9:05 PM – 10:00 PM 

Due to the street closure, vehicles will not be allowed to drive in or out during the event. Vendors must plan to be present for the full duration and prepare to replenish inventory without vehicle access. 

VENDOR FEE & DEADLINES 

• Non-refundable Vendor Fee: $150 

• Early Bird Deadline: Submit all permits by June 15th, 2026 to be included in all event marketing, press releases, and promotions. 

• Final Deadline: Submit required documents by July 15th, 2026 to secure your space. 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS 

All documents must be submitted within the Vendor application at beloittacotakedown.com by the applicable deadlines: 

• Certificate of Insurance (COI) — Vendors without a valid COI on file before the event will not be allowed to operate and will forfeit their participation fee. 

• Outdoor Vendor Permit — Required for all mobile food vendors/trucks in Beloit/Rock County. Must be presented at the event. 

• Temporary Food Permit — Required for restaurants not using a food truck, to serve food outside their brick-and-mortar. 

FOOD & MENU REQUIREMENTS 

• To ensure a smooth guest experience and fair exposure for all vendors, each vendor is limited to offering THREE food menu items. ONE must be a taco.  

• Item #1 will be judged.  

• Five tacos must be provided to the judges at no cost. 

• No additional food items or full menus are allowed. Vendors who do not comply may not be invited to participate in future events. 

• All food must be sold from within your designated booth or truck space. 

• You may set your own pricing for your selected items. 

IMPORTANT: Vendors are strictly prohibited from selling alcohol or any beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) at the event. All beverage sales will be handled exclusively by the event's beverage partner. 

OPERATIONAL DETAILS 

• Power: Vendors must bring their own generator for electricity. 

• Menu Display: A printed version of your day-of menu must be displayed clearly and kept within your booth or vehicle space. 

• Vehicle Size: Be prepared to list your truck or booth size on your application for space planning. 

• Waste Management: Trash cans and a dumpster will be onsite. Vendors are encouraged to bring their own trash cans for use near their booth or truck.

AWARDS 

People’s Choice 

Guests will vote for their favorite taco via an online system. Vendors will receive signage with a QR code linking to the voting platform. The vendor with the most votes will receive: 

• Taco Trophy 

• Gift Card Prize

Local Celebrity Panel Voting 

• Luchador Belt  

• Cash Prize

Winners will be announced around 8:30 PM, with a photo opportunity. A follow-up feature will be shared on Beloit Taco Takedown's website and social channels. 

FINAL REMINDERS 

• Rain or Shine Event: Rain location in covered parking structure at the intersection of Ironworks Drive and Third Street (2024 location). No refunds will be issued due to weather. 

• Health & Safety Compliance: Vendors must follow Rock County Health Department guidelines and are subject to inspection. 

• Sales Tax: Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting their own state and local sales tax. ​
